William C. Planta (Bill) is a principal partner of Planta &Satin, LLC and he has focused his career in the practice of family law and domestic relations matters since his graduation from the George Washington University Law School, in 1997. He represents clients in the negotiation and preparation of separation and property settlement agreements, ante-nuptial agreements, and post-nuptial agreements. Mr. Planta also has extensive experience in the litigation of complex domestic relations matters including: same sex divorce, grounds for divorce; legal and residential; custody; access and visitation; child support; alimony; voluntary impoverishment; valuation and equitable division of marital property including business valuation; monetary awards; attorney fees; enforcement of Agreements; civil contempt; protective orders/domestic violence; and, post-judgment matters and modifications of existing judgments. Mr. Planta, in his Sixteen years as a family law attorney, has accumulated significant experience in alternate dispute resolution models such as mediation and collaborative law and has been accept the Court as an expert in the field of family law and the legal fees and costs associated with family law matters. Mr. Planta is a Facilitator for the Family Division of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland and is appointed by the Bench and his peers as Best Interest Attorney and Child Advocate to represent children who are the subject of custody divorce/custody proceedings and as Parent Coordinator to assist parties in improving their abilities to co-parent. Mr. Planta has participated as a speaker in numerous continuing legal education classes including: advanced trial advocacy, mediation, and digital forensics and electronically stored information (ESI).
